The HarlowPortal is a new, local concept that aims to put Harlow people (the client) in need of a service with those able to supply it (the supplier).  There is a simple registration process for clients where all is requested is those details which you want to give.  For example, one could just supply an email address, if so you will be circulated with opportunities and events that are being put on locally, as they arise.  If you give more contact details we shall be able to contact you in more ways, so, for example, if a suitable training course came up, with a short time lead time, we could telephone those who had supplied their telephone number.  A name is useful to if you want us to telephone!

By local we mean Harlow, in Essex, and the surrounding areas (the postcode sectors CM17, CM18, CM19 and CM20).  However, anyone is welcome to register with our service.  Events and / or organisations do not necessarily have to be Harlow based, however they must have easy access to Harlow residents, especially using public transport.  Subsidised travel to users for events and courses outside of Harlow, as defined above, will normally be a requirement for a listing on the HarlowPortal website.

Registration is free, and the service is designed to be free to clients.  We shall feature training and other opportunities that will in the main be free to the user, or at greatly reduced cost.  We are a service to put you in touch with what is available - we do not get involved in the service that the provider is offering.  Think of us as an online advertising service!

We will circulate opportunities to clients for up to six months after registration, and then send an email asking if you want to remain with the service.  If we do not receive a positive reply in the next week we take you off the active circulation list.  This can also be done at any time by replying "unsubscribe" to our emails, or by contacting us by other methods, as listed on the contact page.

The service will always remain free to the client - and it may help you to change your life for the better.  Why not register today?
